Pheonix - Samantha - Third Hour

For decades humanity has been looking for the key to immortality, the Phoenix however has that knowledge. Cryptozoology is summarized as the study of hidden creatures. These creatures may or may not exist. As for this flaming cryptid, the Phoenix, I believe that it is impossible for it to exist based on the combined research of credible and non-credible research.

What makes is possible for the Phoenix to exist? Sightings of the Phoenix have been reported saying that it resembles a large eagle or a heron (See figure one). It is large in size and has a wide wingspan. The Phoenix nests just as other birds do, high in the mountains where it is less likely to be spotted. As well as normal bird nesting the Phoenix hunts like an eagle would. The Phoenix swoops down to catch it’s rabbit-sized prey. The Phoenix behaves like a normal bird would, supporting its existence.

The earlier mentioned immortality is not yet a discovered ability on Earth therefore the Phoenix’s life cycle—immortality is very much impossible. From Arabian stories to Greek stories they all believe the same life cycle for this incredible bird. In all stories of the Phoenix, after 500 years the bird sets extra twigs in its nest and bursts into flames leaving an insulated egg which holds the next generation Phoenix. 500 years and being reborn is highly unlikely. Only one Phoenix is said to be alive at a time, which leaves a microscopic chance that this bird is possible to exist and be seen.

Although the Phoenix nests and hunts like a typical bird, there is only one Phoenix ever alive at a time, if this bird is real, what is the likelihood that it has been spotted? It is probable that the Phoenix exists. We have not yet found immortality so, until we do find it I think that the Phoenix is nothing but maybe an eagle or heron that was seen wrong. In my opinion, it is impossible for this mysterious flaming bird to exist.
