Sucuri Gigante - Vanese - Sixth Hour

[Figure 1]

When you hear snake we think of our Arizona rattle snake. Have you ever heard of a Sucuri Gigante? It has a length of 40 meters and a width of 80 cm and weights up to 5 tons. It kills by constricting their bodies in coils around their prey. Either the animal suffocates or it gets crushed and dies from internal bleeding. "Its said that If any one trespasses into the anaconda's territory then the earth will start to shake, the climate will suddenly change and rain, wind and lightning will occur -- threatening the trespasser's life.” My thesis is to find credible and noncredible evidence about the Sucuri Gigante.

The credible facts about Anacondas: The anaconda is the biggest snake in length terms. They can be as long as 40 feet and usually weigh more than 300 pounds. Anacondas grow until their death anacondas live longer in there own habitat. They live in rivers like the Amazon basin in the countries of Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay and Peru. They feed on fish and other reptiles, birds and mammals and occasionally people. The snake will unhinge its' jaws and using the muscles in its body to force the animal into its body thus being swallowed whole by the snake. Anacondas do have teeth but they are not used for chewing but rather they are used to hold things while their muscles begin to do their work.

The noncredible facts: The Sucuri Gigante means giant boa or giant water snake. It has also been called “mysterious beast’ and ‘Controller”. Its is said to control certain areas of the rivers it inhabits. The Sucuri Gigante is said to be a sub-species of the common Anaconda. Some scientists have said that it is an ancestral a large snake from the Eocene period (58millions to 34 millions of the years before. The Sucuri Gigante length is about 40 meters width up to 80 cm and weight up to 5 tons. The snake is dark and chestnut color with the belly being spotted with a dirty white belly. In 1907, a British gentleman Major Percy Fawcett claimed to have been in the Amazon jungle somewhere in Brazil. On that trip Maj. Fawcett claimed to have shot a Giant Anaconda that was 62 feet long. But he didn't bother to bring the snake back to civilization with him.

In conclusion, my thesis was to find credible and noncredible evidence about the Sucuri Gigante. After reading myths and news articles of seeing the “Great Sucuri Gigante.” I

Came to a conclusion that this big Sucuri Gigante is just a myth because people can’t explain if they say it or if they thought they saw it. Maybe someday someone might find the Sucuri Gigante. But for now I will just wait and see if we ever find the Sucuri Gigante.
