Vampires - Marbella - Fifth Hour

You know them as bloodsuckers, creeping around in the night but never in the light, who are they? They’re vampires. They’re known to have a pale, white faces, red lip, absolutely flawless which attracts us to them so well. They are extraordinarily fast, and much stronger than us humans. They have razor sharp canine teeth used to bite into you and drink your blood. Many believe it’s ridiculous or absurd to even believe vampires exist, but I believe they’re real.

Many people around the world have reported sightings of vampires, since before our grandmothers were born. During the 18th century, in Eastern Europe a frenzy of vampire staking and grave diggings began when Peter Plogojowitz of Serbia died. Peter had asked his son for food but when his son refused, he died the next day.Peter awoke from the dead and returned the next day to attack some neighbors who had apparently died from blood loss. The next report was of Marcy Brown from Rhode Island, she died of consumption at the age of 19 on January 17th, 1892.On March 17th, 1892 her body was exhumed from the cemetery because many suspected Marcy had come back to attack her brother Edwin. When they dug Marcy’s body up they saw that her body was turned over and looked to well preserved, they cut her open and saw that she had fresh blood in her organs. Many in the Brown family had died of consumption; George Brown the father of Marcy grew scared and thought he had a curse put on him. He knew someone in the family was a vampire whether it was his wife Mary Brown, Marcy or Marcy’s sister Olive Brown.

Some of the stories people come up with about vampires are absurd. They believe if someone has sharp teeth automatically they’re vampires. The Alamogordo office of the Border Patrol has taken many reports since September from immigrants saying they’ve come across vampires. “Some of these people were really frightened”, says Dan Jimenez Chief of the Border Patrol’s Alamogordo sector. “One guy told us vampires dragged away his two friends”. Most sightings took place in Eastern Otero County, Chief Jimenez reports and says “unfortunately, we have bandits living in those mountains who will rob anyone who comes through the area, some of these in the light could pass for vampires”.
Another ridiculous story was in 2007, in Hockerill, England, a 43 year old man was throwing away his garbage. When someone comes from behind and attacks him, he said they wrapped their teeth around his neck and it started snarling. The man wrestled with the attacker, and the attacker ran right after. The man immediately called the police. Many reports were sent in over several months, causing confusion in the community. Local skeptics and the media downplay the attacks at the work of a deranged, mentally ill person “pretending” to be a vampire.

Many believe its ridiculous or even absurd to believe vampires actually exist, I believe they do. Vampires didn’t pop up out of nowhere, someone must have actually seen one in order to describe them they way they do. The pale faces, red lips, simply irresistible to all humans. They’re known everywhere all across the worlds, not all of them are crazy, vampires really do exist. All the sightings, the bits, the rumors, everything seems so realistic just because we can’t point to one and say “Hey!’ you’re a vampire”, doesn’t mean they don’t exist. They’re among us, stalking the nights, going on about their lives just like we do, one could possibly be living right in front of you or right next door. But you don’t know that because they hide themselves, because we humans can’t accept the fact that they are among us.
