A centaur is a creature with the head, torso, and arms of a man and body and legs of a horse. It connects at the spine, having all of the bones a horse would have from the neck down. It still has all of the bones a man has from the waste up. I believe centaurs were not real.
Half-man half-horse offspring were produced from Centaurus mating with mares from Magnesia, located in southern Thessaly. Centaurs are in many rock paintings that are over thirty two thousand years old. They went extinct because they were shot with arrows dipped in Hydra-blood, because of there actions. Centaurs were alcoholic and had bad tempers. They would get drunk and try to rape the women; therefore they were nothing but a hassle.
When men were away in battle, animals were used for food and sex. This is how a centaur came into existence. Humans were having animal babies, and animals were having human babies.
I believe centaurs were not real, because there are no skeletons of a full centaur. They have found “parts” of a centaur, but bones could easily be mixed together with no proof that they were at one point conjoined. A centaur has the torso and organs of a man for the upper half of there body, so they would have to eat something other then grass. I also do not under stand how the digestive system would work. Having two stomachs, I do not know how they would use the bathroom.
